Christoph and Me exploring THA CITY

Weekend was AWSOME!

Christoph came to visit me and I was really looking forward to that for ages! Actually, he wanted to surprise me, but he didn’t manage to keep the secret!

I think it was better like that, because so I had the chance to prepare myself and he admitted, that he probably wouldn’t have found his way, without my description… which was wrong anyway. First I didn’t believe him.. because I was so sure I had told him the truth! Well, actually I did, because I gave the same description to the partypeople two weeks ago! That time it was correct, but however, the nice transport-people decided (once again without warning) to change the departure-platform of the train to Sydenham.

However, he finally managed to come to my palce and we had a wonderful dinner – which I cooked of course! Should have been something like curry-chicken! Well, it was good, but I am not very into cooking what the recipe tells me! I think it is boring! So I cook phantasy meals most of the time! Anyway, he didn’t complain!

So friday was rather lazy! We went to bed early… but Saturday therefor was a real exploration-day! In the morning we got up rather early and made our way to central london! I had booked a london-eye flight before! Expensive… but worth every penny! Amazing view – amazing experience!

Later on we met Nives and Niki by accident! Was rather funny catching up with people you know among the thousands in London! We went along the Thames riverside down to Tower Bridge. Of course we couldn’t resist shooting a few real touri-photos.

After going by tube on priority seats we reached Buckingham Palace.. where Christoph of course had to take photos of the “Bobbies” as he calles them! I told him they were calles Guardians – he wouldn’t believe me!

Now we went to Hydepark for a little break but soon continued our journey to Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey and Picadilly Circus! Christoph wanted to go to Burgerking really badly, but they had obviously changed the stors in the building underneath the famous luminous advertisings – probably they considerd it being rediculous having a Burgerking directly beneath a McDonalds ad!?

However… we finally ended up drinking in some pubs in Soho – where I once again completely lost my orientation! what a surprise! It was really funny though having a little pub tour without knowing exactly where you are! 5 pints later and 4 glasses richer we started to think about going home! too late for tube and train.. so we had to make our way to some busstop! not so easy without knowing the current location!

Finally we found ourselves again on Oxfordstreet, and – after a little funny incident – we entered the bus. A endless trip home followed, due to a few necessary changes – caused by a bonding contretemps.

Sunday was not so busy. We decided NOT to run in order to catch busses, tubes or trains; NOT to see as many sights as possible and NOT to go drinking in the evening! So we had a rather relaxed day! Weather was awsome again and so we went to Regents Part, where we watched the Queen Mary Gardes, wich are really wonderful! We also went to the flowermarket and to the British Museum. That building really fascinated us! The architecture is gorgeous and the dimension of the Museum is fascinating!

This weekend was really wonderful!
